Oh too darling!

Back in the year of 2005, trawling through paperchase in its early days I came across a pack of postcards that I thought just had a cute doll on it called Blythe. But she wasn't ordinary. I loved the pack of cards and I thought the doll was really cute and very retro. Then 6 years later, when I get ambitiously arty and into textiles I then decide to track down these dolls and see how it would be possible to get one. (after watching those diet coke adverts with the puppets it inspired me.) This was when I discovered the misfit doll from the 70s. In 1972 (correct me if Im wrong) kenner produced Blythe, but only stayed on for one year because of bad sales. (This was because of many children being scared of her large eyes that change colour. Some say she has a resemblance to chuckie...I say no.) Many were still interested in this doll, it was asia and america to make a comeback in the late 1990s early 2000s. So, thanks to them I am honored to own my own one, Florence (Phoebe Maybe.)
