I really love this mexican festival. Rather than thinking of it as creepy that it is celebrating the dead, I think it is beautiful and an amazing way of expressing how people feel to their friends or family who may not be with them.

After you suffering through my obsessing over Frida Kahlo, I am also interested in vintage styling so quite a while back I made these Vintage/Iconic photos inspired plates and Andy Warhole inspired pieces of art. Basically, all I did was find scraps of colored paper and stuck them down making layer one, then I drew the features on an acetate. It's surprisingly simple yet effective!
